Welcome to the unofficial website for the Class of 1975 of Carthage High School (Texas). I made the decision to implement this site & purchase the domain name to help all of our former classmates to stay in touch, as well as keep us all informed of any news concerning our 35th reunion in 2010.

CHS1975.com is privately hosted as a non-commercial alternative to commercial high school reunion site hosting services. As you know, ClassMates.CON....errrh I meant .COM, charges you to display your contact information. Once you sign up, they constantly send you messages about all your old classmates who are eager to check out your profile and get together, with invitations to come to the site and see who they are. Once there classmates.com meets you at your profile home page with their hand out, pitching their site with a "Choose Gold!" button. They'll tell you who "Friend X" is and disclose their email address & contact information so we can all get together for only $59.00--their best value. There are many caveat emptor stories on the Internet about the "real" classmates.com site and how deceptive it really is.

At any rate, I knew there was a better way for us all to stay in touch at no charge to my classmates, thus I decided to design & launch CHS1975.Com. The purpose of this site is informational and archival. Its design is plain vanilla, where everything is free and user-friendly. Memories should be free. VERY IMPORTANT! This website is NOT just for graduating members of the class of 1975 at CHS. If you went to school with any of us during 1st grade (1963) to graduation 1975, by all means leave your contact information and join the fellowship. We are NOT exclusive here. We want to stay in touch with all classmates of CHS, regardless of what class you graduated in, so sign the guestbook, drop us a note, share a memory or a picture, leave us some contact information.
