I took an early retirement from working as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager to help my son, Shane who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy full time.
(See CURESMA.ORG) I miss all my Carthage friends.

Robin Smith 03-22-2010

Vicki Pinkerton Sanders 03-19-2010
Hello all and happy b'day, Toni. Dean, thank you for getting this set up (and to those that helped you). This is great. I am looking forward to going thru all info when I have more time. I will contact ones on the list that are still shown as "unknown" if I have their info. Thanks again for all your hard work and thank you Cathy for passing this site to Paula for me. Again, thank for all you hard work, Dean. Vicki

Dean Jones 03-19-2010

Prissi Owens 02-21-2010
Glad you let me know about this-we really need to stay in touch more.

Tom Ross 02-14-2010
Dean, I would like to thank you for all of your time in getting this together, it will be nice to talk with some of our classmates that I haven't talked to since high school (We won't discuss how long that has been)..hope to make it to the next reunion and see all you guys and girls. And I bet you thought that I couldn't type or could use a computer!

Michael Jay Strong 02-11-2010
Hi! This is a great idea. In spite of multiple generations of both of my parents' families being from Carthage, we moved away when I was entering 5th grade. You said you wanted everyone 1st grade, on. ;o)
I've always continued considering Carthage to be my home town, and have several CARTHAGE stories on my web site, http://raisedcountry.com. Look for Carthage in the spinning tags on the right, then click on it, or just search for Carthage in the \"Local Site Search\" box, way down on the right column.
Glad to find all your site. I regret not being able to grow up more years with my Carthage friends.
Blessings in your general direction!

Dean Jones 02-08-2010
Happy Birthday Mint! Hope you are having a great day!

Hello Donald--it's been 25 years or more! Yep, I remember the "Nuclear War" game we all played back then--I spent months coding that game and getting it converted so we could all play it on the computer...the old Commodore 64 with a 300 baud modem! Wow--times have changed...keep in touch!.

Donald Brown 02-03-2010
Greetings,Dean! I think about you guys often! I still have my set of "Nuclear War". Mike Bostick told me about your site. I'm VERY impressed. Give all my love. I sure miss you all.

Bill Mills 01-25-2010
Dean, Great job on the web site, look forward to the reunion.

Randy Ortigo 01-25-2010
Good to see everyone on here. Let me know if there's anything I can to do help. By the way, Randall Moore was in Palestine about 2 years ago. I don't know about now, though.

Cathy Wedgeworth Woodard 01-22-2010
Dean, I work at the hospital and there are several classmates that also work there. I will pass this site on to them. Thanks for going the extra mile for the Class of '75

Gayle Smith Tabor 01-13-2010
Great job Dean, looking forward to the Reunion.

Dean J. 12-13-2009
I have image mapped the group photo of the class reunion held back in 2005. Now when the entire group photo loads in larger view, I mapped the image coordinates so that when you hold your mouse cursor over anyone's FACE, a text note will appear with the name of the person pictured. Just a minor tweak I added. The image mapping MAY NOT render well if you are using Internet Explorer for your browser...the page renders very well in other browsers...this site is optimized for Firefox 3 users...no other big updates at this time. People are slowly finding out about the website. I'm glad we are all slowly getting back in touch. I will continue to work on site as I have time...once I get through Christmas season at work.

Dean Jones 12-12-2009
Hello Missy! I'm glad you found the site. Last time I saw you was way back in '75 at the Miss Panola County Pageant--I helped on the lighting crew for a few of those shows. As for the "Bill Gates" joke-- I wish I had invested in Gates/Microsoft's "Windows" way back then rather than investing my money in Jim Morrison's "Doors" albums!! LOL

Missy Watson Reeves 12-11-2009
Dean...Thank you so much for giving all of us the opportunity to reconnect. This site is just awesome! BTW..."Bill Gates????" What's that all about? LOL!

Dean J. 11-30-2009
I had a good guess submitted by Nan Twomey Powell on the "mystery photo"--she thought it might be Coach Bill Tatum and his wife Mrs. Lou Tatum (our elementary school nurse)....I have to admit that was a VERY GOOD guess..and is the BEST guess so far by anyone!...however, it is not them. I too was amazed at how much it does look like them. I'll post a clue in the near future...

Dean Jones 11-19-2009
Hey John...glad you dropped by the web site...I envy you--I don't have a Harley...and it's probably best that I don't!

John R. Tiller 11-17-2009
Thanks Dean for setting up this web site maybe we can make some old contacts and get old friends together. I have a harley and love to ride so if anyone wants to get together let me know.

Mark Dickerson 11-10-2009
I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Danny Cranford 10-31-2009
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. send me a note sometime. I'm retired and enjoying life. I look forward to hearing from all..
Danny C.

Dean Jones 10-29-2009
Thanks for all the comments. No Kathy, I am NOT a Bill Gates--his bank account is a LOT bigger than mine! It was great to talk to all of you last night...I will set up a FaceBook profile this weekend. Thanks a million to David Mauritzen for giving me a quick lesson on it...I've just never played with FB at all--I think I'm downloading too much music & software and I need to branch out some!! :) Check out the NEWS page for additions to the site. Talk to you all later.

Terri Abernathy Reed 10-29-2009
Great job, Dean!!! This looks very official. Hopefully, we can all stay in touch with each other through this site. It was good to see everyone last night. Thanks for doing this!!!

David Mauritzen 10-29-2009
Dean, I set up an Event on Facebook for the class reunion w/ a link back to this website. If we can get our classmates to set up a FB page for themselves, they can be added to the event and get updates on the reunion by checking their FB page as well as link to this website.

Carolyn Kinzbach Lackey 10-29-2009
Thanks so much for putting this page together! I love reconnecting with my elementary school friends!

David Mauritzen 10-29-2009
Thanks Dean for setting this up - I will post this link on facebook - there are a number of us on FB. We could also set up a \"group\" on FB that would automatically send emails w/ all details of reunion info.

Kathy Barrett Gollmitzer 10-28-2009
Dean, you are the Bill Gates of the CHS class of 1975! This is great! Thank you so much for taking valuable and considerable time to make this. I really appreciate it. I want to say a big hello to all my classmates who read this.

Charlie Allison 10-12-2009
Way to go, Dean! You the man! Next time I'm in Carthage I'll stop by and get some of those famous bear claws at the Fudge Shop. See you then.

Robin Smith 10-12-2009
Dean, Thanks for hosting this webpage. Keep in touch, Robin

Carolyn Powell Harrigan 10-09-2009
I am so thankful you did this!!!!!! This is super!

Dean Jones 10-09-2009
After 6 days of coding HTML & tweaking the site, I am ready for traffic. CHS1975.com is officially up & running. I told my first former classmate, TMC, about CHS1975.com today. I will inform other classmates about it this weekend.

Dean Jones 10-06-2009
Clicking my name on this post will take you to our "Classmates" page where you can scroll through and email me from the list of classmates.

Testing anonymous submission script. Boo!

Dean Jones 10-05-2009
Still testing my code for the site to work out bugs in the CSS & PHP. Domain name is purchased & registered to me. Uploaded files to server via FTP--testing browser compatibility--finishing up final coding & preparing for site launch.
Happy Birthday today to myself, Terry Abernathy Reed, Keith Pierce, & Lela Hicks Collins!

Dean Jones 10-04-2009
After 2 days of hand coding HTML, I am ready to launch this web site. Still need to test PHP scripts.
